This attractive Georgian Hotel was built in the 18th Century by John Evans and named after the Duke of Gloucester. William Pitt and many other historical characters resided at 23 Gloucester Place.

The hotel has been consistently and carefully upgraded to maintain its historical value while providing modern day comforts.
The rooms are individually designed, and have en-suite facilities, direct dial phones with modem attachment, and hospitality trays. A wide range of rooms are available, from single to four poster and 4 bedded rooms. A family suite is also available, ideal for families with older children. A choice of English and continental breakfast is served in the comfortable and nicely appointed dining room. Maid and porter service are provided, although guests are welcome to use the kitchen and self-service laundry facilities as required.

Because of its Georgian heritage and planning limitation, the Hotel has restricted handicapped accessibility on the ground floor and no lift.

This charming hotel is rated 3 diamonds by the English Tourist Board and the Automobile Association.
